New Nightstalker comic book and music album see the light of day

We already had a word here on The Nightstalker story universe. It's a plot about a mysterious hunter whose actions aren't always clear.

He seems to be involved into events like a murder but his role remains unclear. The whole story can be experienced through multiple media releases in form of music, movie and now two new options have become available.

A overlook on some of the media available in The Nightstalker line.

The cool thing is that you can play a part of the story as a tabletop roleplaying game. I don't think I've come along a underground production that offers such a thing. If you're into experiencing unknown mysteries with your friends on a evening or two make sure to have a look into the free role book at Edition Stellarmaris to find out if it's for you (it's available in French language only).

But the even cooler thing is that a short chapter of the story also lives in form of a comic book. Since the whole package is a complex thing this one part is surely easier to understand if you're new to the The Nightstalker universe. You can purchase it through Amazon but have a look inside first at the blog of Stellamaris editions.

In other news fresh music also has become available in this fascinating story universe. This time the project under the sign of "NIAC" put out a dark synth metal album that examines another part of the story and also discovers a new character.

Mysterious band sends EMP label group unlabeled cassette tape

Bands seem to surface in strange ways these days. It has been like this with Supreme Unbeing who surely wanted to receive the recognition of EMP label (the record company of Megadeth bassist David Ellefson) executive Thom Hazaert. He told us how it all happened.

Who stands behind the band named "Supreme Unbeing"?

“I received a strange, unmarked package in the mail one day;  No return address, no information, just a hand recorded cassette tape, with the words “SUPREME UNBEING” written on it. Thankfully, I still own a cassette player, so I put it in, and couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I’m still not entirely sure who the band is, or what I signed (and I think they might actually be cartoons), but once I heard it, I just knew they had to be on EMP. The messages of Zac Red were just too powerful to ignore. And to be honest, it hasn’t left my cassette deck since.”

EMP Founder/Megadeth David Ellefson said, “Who???”, disavowing any knowledge.

Heavy Metal Underdogs also got the first message and thought: It got my attention through the playing around with the riff throughout the whole track duration and it's dark-toned soundshell it's put in.

It also features short segments that make you think it could be a balladesque track but soon reveals it's much heavier content. The end also comes as a surprise. You may think it just goes on like in the previous three minutes but a slight change comes in.

Finally the message beneath the music spotted my interest.

The first message, “You’ll Never Make It” tells a very precise story of the human quest to understand his own existence, from creation through the present. The title “You’ll Never Make It” can be interpreted both pessimistically, as many humans fail to reach outside of the psychological cage we are all fostered into since physical birth, or provocatively, as a challenge for those who will continue to transcend the boundaries of the never-ending struggles of life.

More stuff is on it's way. SUPREME UNBEING is set to release additional messages/singles “Animals”, “Solution” and “Dreaming” to the public in the following months prior to the release of the debut full-length LP “Enter Reality” which is set to release on 10th October 2020.

Keep a eye on these pages for future messages.

The Nightstalker - a mysterious project living in books, movie and music

In these times we're living in we need something that takes us away from the everyday troubles. You know like using the spare time before going to bed. Some time to come down.

The cover for the movie already gives a little glimpse that something strange is about to knock on our door.
But what can be seen and heard that's not so well known already but could be worth it? Something new and exciting. I like mysterious stories and this particular one got me in quickly. It's taken of the story description for the movie "The Nightstalker Case: Found Footage".

All begins with the discovery of the corpse of a young man in the city of Natural City. Sergeant Patrick Matennen arrives first at the scene of the crime. He picks up a camera near the body. He decides to watch everything that the camera has recorded in order to understand what happened.

Michel Garsou buys an action-camera and is witnessing a strange murder. The latter contacts one of his friends who has been investigating for some time the mysterious appearance of a nocturnal protector in their hometown. They will exploit all possible tracks to find information.

From there, events follow each other quickly. Michel finds himself in spite
of himself dragged into this dangerous investigation.

I like that The Nightstalker project is something like a a story that lives in many ways  through music, a movie and books (in french language).

The music side stems of two projects - Sercati and The Nightstalker. Both are held in a rougher style combining rough dark metal but with lot's of atmospheric elements in it. The songs include spoken passages and strong sung parts. It's
not of the usual kind but makes it overall more attractive. It feels more like a narrative that are transported through heavy sounds based on riffs and sounds but with slower rhythm.

I picked this one track to give you a overview on the mood of the music.

You can download the movie called "The Nightstalker Case: Found Footage" and also buy books in french language that spin the story further.

Keep a eye on the Facebook page so you won't miss out how the story evolves further both musically and storywise. Or check the Sercati homepage for detailed information and links to purchase the music.
