Senate of Prevail show off different side of the band sound

In the past months I've often written here about the progress the recordings for the new Senate of Prevail album. The guys are still busy with doing the finishing touches to that album but happily kept up the fine tradition of giving some insight into the recording process as well as into the songs itself.

So to make things short there's a new preview online since some time. This one has surprised me at many points. It doesn't sound so much like the previews we had before, so it seems like this one shows a different side of the band's sound. What do you think about this snippet?

To me this keeps me more than ever having a close eye on what's going on in the Senate of Prevail camp. Sounds to me as if a very heavy but also very diverse album with a highly quality approach on songs as well as on the technical side is coming our way. Just think of the traditionell Bollnäs metal sound combined with modern elements. A Light Within shows writing vocal session clip for upcoming EP

The Alt-Rock / Post-progressive band A Light Within is working on new material for the next EP. Having made their first step with the release of the "Preface" EP which can be heard in my review about the release the band is preparing the follow-up mini-album these days.

This snippet shows the process of writing vocals to a live instrumental take of "Between Shores". I've never seen such a teaser before, but it feels like it takes one directly into the creative working process the band is currently in.

Not one of the "usual" studio impressions though. Very cool vocals and I also like the style of the video that fits to the music. It feels a bit haunting and the atmosphere is very tight. Update 2014/11/07: The band has added two new snippets from the recording sessions to their Youtube channel. They used video in photoshop! Just click below to see them both plus all the other stuff that the band has uploaded so far.

MONSTER posts snippet of a new song

A new song snippet from the band MONSTER has surfaced on their facebook page. It's a rough mix of a track from the upcoming album. Very cool stuff, like what I hear especially the more complicated part in there.

The band is still looking for a new guitarist, email them if you're interested: monster-band@gmx.de or send a message through the facebook account of the band. The band is located in Aurich, that's in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Update 2014/03/07:  The seach is over! The band recently announced Klaas Olthoff (ex-BURIAL VAULT / THE DAMNATION) as their new second guitarist. 
Currently the band is working on finishing the first length album which will previously be released early 2014 / spring 2014. Stay tuned, I'll post here if there's something new happening in the MONSTER camp. :-)
