20 Years of Autumns Eyes - new album sneak peak

"Musicians are the only rich people who share something of their wealth." (Quote, Author unknown)

I found these words some time ago on Facebook. They sticked in my mind. I can't tell you guys out there how much energy, truth and life experience music holds. It's a pure treasure to me. It was like that back in the day and it seems it is more important than ever to me now.

Solo metal band Autumns Eyes already adds since 20 years to the metal scene. These days Daniel Mitchell presents what these years album will sound like with a 5 minute preview video coming directly from the studio.

Daniel Mitchell creating new heavy music for all of us.

I can't stop from watching guitar players playing. Plus these rough riffs are my faves. These sounds are so much fun and fun is fuel for life. It kicks me. Besides the music snippets it also comes with Daniel talking about how old logs, dark sounds, and creepy crunchy guitars will help shape the follow up to the 2017 release.

Make sure to follow the Autumns Eyes social channels on Twitter and Instagram for further updates. Or click the official website for sweet offers like a green (!!!) T-Shirt for a few coins to help musicians to be able to further spread their knowledge with all of us.

Video Preview: Nhibitions - Hourglass (Metalcore, 2018)

A hourglass is often used to symbolize that something won't be endless. How does such strong metapher sound if it is transfered into the metalcore universe?

The release of the single "Hourglass" is not far away anymore...

Nhibitions have crafted a powerful debut single along with a proper lyric video to bring the message out to the listener. First of the heavyness dominates the sound with it's bold guitars and even stronger drums. The vocals of Chris Fronzak are loud, clear and of dark tonality. The overall feel is dramatic and could talk of a soul that has taken a lot of hurt in his lifetime. The performance is great since he changes the mood throughout the whole track duration. Every section comes with it's own tonality.

But there's much more. Something special comes down as the refrain takes it's place in the song. It's different you can feel from the start. It feels like cut out and from a different look upon the same scene. It won't take long and it will stick into the listeners mind. I've not come across such metalcore track so far so the surprise was there and it touched me deep inside.

As for the music: it's a sharp riff hacker going in straight. Nevertheless it's still feeling slightly complex to me as it's not easy to quickly get a idea of how all of this was done. A sign that re-listening to this one pays off.

All in all "Hourglass" makes curious about what else Nhibitions are about to put out in the forthcoming time. As for the first be sure to mark your Facebook calenders (or any other one you may use). On September 21th 2018 the full song and video are going to be revealed. On that day check the Ghost Killer Entertainment Youtube page to hear the full song (the band has teamed up with them to share the video to a wide audience).

To skip the waiting time surf to the band's Facebook page. That's where you can check a little teaser snippet of the video.

Motörhead 2014 show to be broadcasted by Rockpalast TV show

This sunday in the night from 14. to monday the 15th starting at 00:15h (Central European Winter Time) the next issue of the Rockpalast TV show will air a live recording from this years Motörhead performance at Düsseldorf, Germany at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle. The show took place on 12th November 2014. The shows of both opening acts, Skew Siskin and The Damned will be shown as well.

At the moment you can already check out one full live video from "The chase is better than the catch" at the website of the show. The whole website has been reworked in the last weeks so it comes with a fresh optic these days.

There's also a webstream of the TV station available but I can't tell if the show will be available there as well or if they have a regionlock activated. Anyway, just try your luck I think it will be worth checking out. Maybe they'll also add the show to their archive later. If they do, I'll add the proper link here once it's online.

Update 2014/12/16: Alls shows have been added to the video streaming archive. Just click on the proper band name and enjoy! BTW: you can see the full setlist under the video and also select single songs if you don't want to watch the whole show.

Acrassicauda starts Kickstarter campaign for the first full album

Remember the article I posted some time ago about Acrassicauda, the one and only Metal band from Iraq by that time? They struggled for their life but refused to give in or up and always pushed on forward. I think making music helped them along the way.

By now the band found a way to escape the cruel everyday living in Iraq and made a odyssey from Iraq over to Syria. where they even had to struggle with more problems. Finally the band could set over to America where they live now. In the meantime they recorded a first EP with producer Alex Skolnick (guitarist from Testament) entitled "Only the dead see the end of the war" and made a video for "Gardens of stone".

Currently the band has written their first full length record. They are now ready to go for the recordings but are in a similar position like many other artists without a record company. So they decided to use Kickstarter to raise funds for all the production steps needed.

As for the concept of the record the band writes on Kickstarter:

"(...) The new album pays homage to the ancient Mesopotamian civilization using the Epic of Gilgamesh, an ancient poem written in the Acadian language in the 3rd millennium BC, originally inscribed on 12 tablets in cuneiform script. Delving into themes of exotic journeys, life and death, love, the divine, success and failure, the Epic of Gilgamesh has much in common with the experiences of the band —it is a humble yet honest comparison. The LP is an ode to the modern Iraq, a home from which they are exiled today.(...)"

You can use from a wide variety of pledge levels, raging from 1 Dollar for a download of the actual single over to download options of songs or the full album up to some nice Merch packs that include nice stuff such as posters, shirts, DVDs, personalized rewards, band equipment and more with the album.

Check out the video to find out more about what the band has in mind with the album and head over to Kickstarter if you like to support this outstanding Thrash 'n doom metal band. The band also has a own website so click over to see more detailed info on the band. You can also connect through Facebook to stay in touch with them.

Epica

Epica are a fine orchestral metal band. You may compare them a little bit with bands like Nightwish but Epica are a bit more straight forward in my eyes, they use more harder direct and heavier riffs to bring up the power and energy that the people like so much. Another catcher of the band is the female voice of Simone Simons who brings some sort of frail elements to the sound of Epica while the sound otherwise is more dominated by the pumping rhythm section along with the heavy riffing. A perfect add in my eyes which can express so much different emotions and leave so much room for interpretation. Besides that Simone is quite a good looking woment and a eye-catcher with her long red hair which she likes to bang around with.

Actually the band has a new album coming up with and is giving out every Saturday a little video piece that forms a sort of a puzzle of the new album. But there's also a full track currentyl up for listen. Risk a ear and check it out below.

From the new album "Requiem For The Indifferent" the track "Storm The Sorrow"

You can also download the track legally from the bands label Nuclear Blast right here.

If you like to know how one of the mentioned puzzle pieces looks like here's one of them.

The official site has more info and goodies so go and check it out.
