Marc Vanderberg's You and I goes straight to the heart

Is there time for love in these days? I think we take to few time to listen to what our heart tries to tell us. There's simply too much noise all around us all the time.

German guitar wizard Marc Vanderberg released a great half ballad with his latest record "Phoenix from the Ashes".

The cover of Marc Vanderberg's "Phoenix from the Ashes" looks breathetaking in my eyes.

I've not heard such a wonderful piece of music in a long time. It touches my heart with it's softer guitar notes. The refrain is big but fits into the other song structures so it doesn't ruin the atmosphere. It has made me curious what the rest of the album might sound like so I'll take a listen for sure.

Listen to the fine tune right here or head over to Marc Vanderberg's Spotify channel and listen to it along with more tracks of him.

The album is up for purchase for only 5 Euro from Bandcamp in any digital format you may desire. You can follow his further activities on Facebook.

Amoriello (feat. Vinny Appice) honour Ronnie James Dio

Ronnie James Dio passed away already eight years ago. So far I've not heard a tribute track honoring his work and passion for music properly. Until these days I learned that Amoriello put out one that fits with it's bold performance, finetuned melody and strong lyrics. This band features former members of Black Sabbath, Dio, Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot, TNT, Loudness, Dokken, Impellitteri and Cacophony.

Besides the impressive list of band's those musicians have played in it comes with one member I'd like to point out. I'm speaking of longtime Dio drummer Vinny Appice who also contributed something special to this song. He performs a thunderous drum solo for 16 bars and provides his typical grooves to this track which alone remind me a lot of the time he used to play in Dio. He always puts out a signature with his playing technique and that can be heard on "Battle Song" very well.

"Battle Song" is part of the second AMORIELLO release from H42 Records on 12inch vinyl. The album is announced to be released on December 2018 (vinyl / digital). You can find more details on the release formats on the website of the label. (pre-order starts on 29th October 2018). Or connect with Facebook to be notified further.

The exact member list for the album goes like this:

Tower Of Babel give razor-sharp preview to coming album

Some bands come around and you've never heard of them before and they surprise you with music blowing you away. It's been like this with Tower Of Babel for me.

This band features vocalist Csaba Zvekan (Exorcism, Raven Lord, Metal Machine), virtuoso guitarist Joe Stump (Raven Lord, HolyHell, Reign of Terror), bassist Nic Angileri (Exorcism, Jorn), keyboardist Maestro Mistheria (Vivaldi Metal Project) and drummer Mark Cross (Tainted Nation, Outloud, Firewind, Helloween, Metalium) and has released the first full track of the upcoming album "Lake of Fire".

The song comes along with great razor-sharp guitars that really nail the riffs. It's mixed loud and this adds a good potion of agression to the sound in my ears. The vocals are also standing out since they are held in a higher, lightly screamed yet clear way - something you don't hear everyday. It adds a great feel to the track.

It's surely a song for all the lovers of classic Rock 'n' Roll in the way of the 70's/80's. I had to think of early Axel Rudi Pell mixed up with ingridents of Yngwie Malmsteen while listening to this one.

Tower Of Babel will put out their album Lake of Fire on July 20th.

Clockwork Revolution surprise with high octane video single

Sometimes the best things in life find you out of the blue and arrive without any announcement. It has been like this for me when I heard about Clockwork Revolution a band that is comprised of former members of Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force, Crimson Glory and Kamelot. Currently mastering their debut album, the band has released their debut video – “Give Me the Reins”.

Clockwork Revolution is drummer Patrick Johannson (W.A.S.P., Yngwie Malmsteen, G3, Gus G, Lynch Mob), singer Wade Black (Leatherwolf, Crimson Glory, Seven Witches, Leash Law, War of Thrones), bassist Dirk Van Tilborg (Alias, Attakk, Crimson Glory, Kamelot) and guitarist Dewayne Hart (Kinlin).

Having given the video a spin it becomes quickyl clear that this band kicks a lot of ass. It is straight forward metal coming directly from the heart. It reminded me positively of Rob Rock and Metal Church in a lot of ways. It's great to see a band combining elements of modern and traditional metal in such a explosive mixture.

Most of all the video shows the musical abilities all the members contribute to the bands sound. It's this high energy level and easiness that adds to the fun of watching Clockwork Revolution perform also making music for sure is not as easy as it may look in videos like this. To me musicians are like sportsman performing on a high level. They all train hard, they all practice regulary and they all give their best to archive their goal and to give us what we all love and enjoy.

If this song has made you longing for more (like me) head over to the band’s website which contains audio samples of the debut album available for streaming. Clockwork Revolution wrote and recorded the 10 original tracks in August and November of 2015. The album has been mixed and is currently being mastered for a 2016 release.
